Dr. Cinthia Almeida is a native of Sao Paulo, Brazil where she earned her Veterinary Medicine degree in 2006 from Sao Paulo University. After graduating, she completed her residency program in small animal surgery also from Sao Paulo University. Once her residency was completed, Dr. Almeida spent the next 7 years in Brazil caring for small animals in both emergency and traditional clinic environments. In 2014, Cinthia made the move to America and since then she has validated her Brazilian veterinary degree and in 2019 she became a United States citizen!
Dr. Almeida has a passion for ultrasonography, echocardiograms, preventative care, surgery, and internal medicine. She is also an Cat Friendly Veterinarian and Fear Free Elite Certified.
In her spare time she enjoys traveling, samba dancing, and eating sushi! Dr. Almeida has a cat named Wild Thing and a Maltese named Rachita!
